Details

The frient Motion Sensor 2 Pet (MOSZB-153) is a Zigbee 3.0 battery-powered PIR motion, illuminance and temperature sensor with built-in pet immunity.

The device uses a passive infrared (PIR) sensor to detect movement. It employs two separate detection thresholds: one for general occupancy detection and another for alarm events. The nominal motion detection range is up to 9 metres, with a detection angle of 45° both vertically and horizontally.

When installed correctly, the pet immunity function ignores animals weighing less than 25 kg moving below a height of 1 metre from the floor. Targets weighing more than 50 kg are treated as motion events. The manufacturer specifies a minimum detection distance of 6 metres when using the pet immunity function.

The integrated illuminance and temperature sensors provide data for lighting, heating and security automations. The device is powered by two replaceable AA batteries, with an expected battery life of approximately three years when reporting every two minutes.
