The Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 is an advanced multifunctional smart home sensor that can collect far more information than traditional door and window sensors. Thanks to its high-precision 9-axis sensing system (a combination of an accelerometer, gyroscope, and geomagnetic sensor), it can detect not only the opening and closing state but also changes in the position, movement, tilt, and even the falling of objects. This allows the sensor to be used for monitoring doors, windows, or valuable objects.
The P100 offers two different operating modes: Open/Close Monitoring and Object Monitoring. In open/close mode, the sensor can detect the status change of doors and windows using a single compact device, eliminating the need for a traditional two-piece magnetic sensor. The object monitoring mode allows the detection of various events such as movement, vibration, or tilt, making it ideal for monitoring valuables, packages, or other important equipment.
The sensor supports both Zigbee and Thread communication protocols. In Zigbee mode it can be used with the Aqara Home app and an Aqara hub, providing advanced features and automations. In Thread mode it can be integrated through a Matter-compatible gateway with platforms such as Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and Home Assistant.
