Sonoff SenseGuard Motion Gen2 – Smart PIR motion and illuminance (lux) sensor, Zigbee, white (SNZB-03PR2)

The SONOFF SenseGuard Motion Gen2 (SNZB-03PR2) is a Zigbee 3.0 battery-powered motion and illuminance sensor. Motion detection is handled by a passive infrared PIR sensor, while a separate light sensor measures ambient illuminance in lux.

The PIR sensor has a nominal detection range of approximately 6 meters and a detection angle of around 110°. The motion detection retrigger interval can be adjusted between 5 and 60 seconds. A shorter setting allows more frequent status reporting, while a longer interval reduces the frequency of retriggering.

The illuminance sensor can be used as an independent automation condition or together with motion detection. For example, lighting can be configured to turn on only when motion is detected and the measured illuminance is below a specified lux threshold. In the eWeLink system, illuminance data can be logged and exported, and the measured lux value can be calibrated within a ±1000 lux range.

The sensor is powered by one CR2477 coin cell battery and has an expected battery life of up to 3 years. The magnetic base allows the sensor head to be adjusted, while the device can be placed freely, attached with adhesive, or mounted to a wall with screws. It can be connected to a Zigbee 3.0 network through a SONOFF gateway, Home Assistant, a SmartThings hub, or another compatible Zigbee coordinator.
