Shelly Button1 (not to be confused with “Shelly Button” wired button) is a new 2020 July product from Shelly, basically a WiFi-based one-button remote controller, which you can use to wirelessly control multiple Shelly smart devices. Use it to turn on or off Shelly relays and switches or activate Shelly Scenes defined in the Shelly app, and control multiple devices with ease.
Shelly Button 1 was developed to help you easily activate or deactivate any device or scene manually with just a click.
You may configure the small device to activate different devices or scenes with different button push types. For example one switch may turn on the light, double switch may control the roller shutter, triple quick switch may turn on the fan and long push may turn off all lights, etc. Or you can use different push types to set different dimmer light settings for a Shelly Dimmer smart relay or a Shelly smart bulb. Or keep the WiFi button in the car and when at the gate and connected to home WiFi, use it to open the gate. A different color response indication for all situations.
Shelly Button 1 is water proof, with IPx5 certification. Though the device can’t be soaked into water, but a little rain or humidity won’t harm it if you leave it outside or just want to use it outside when raining.
Additionally, Shelly Button is so small (4,5 cm x 4,5 cm x 1,6 cm) and convenient, you can carry it with you absolutely everywhere.
By default, it works on battery, but it can be connected via USB for constant power supply and Wi-Fi connection, speeding up the default 2 sec. WiFi connection%/response time to 100 millisecundum. When powered by rechargeable batteries, it supports for more than 3000 actions per charge.
Like other Shelly smart devices, no hub required to operate the remote controller, just connect Shelly Button1 directly to your Wi-Fi at home or office.
Cloud connected but can also be connected via MQTT, CoAP, REST API.
